Governor Nan Rich of Florida
When Florida picks it's governor in 2014, it could be the last gasp of the Tea Party, i.e. the American Liberty League that fought FDR's tax hike; he wins re-election.
Ex-Governor "Good Time" Charlie Crist is his most likely rival, despite actual Democratic candidate Nan Rich, a former state legislator.
Crist permitted blackjack tables at Native American casinos with money going to Florida's general fund, not education as all other gambling promotions promised.
These initiatives, if elected in 2014 and activate on 1/1/2016, could bring back the Democratic base that ignored the 2010 mid-term election, giving Florida Gov. Rick Scott and Sen. Marco Rubio 48.9% victories.

- Legalized marijuana, not just medical like in 2002, since it is less lethal than alcohol and less addictive than nicotine, putting pill mills out of business.
- Ten-percent total statewide sales tax, including the six-percent statewide: the 1st percent is Medicaid health care including TB, the 2nd percent is education after high school thus making it a right, the 3rd percent is mass transit, the 4th percent is coping with rising sea levels, a potential 5th percent is non-fossil fuels including solar panels.
- $10/hour minimum wage, including domestic workers and restaurant servers and interns at for-profit companies, just to catch up to 1968 levels.
- Collude with the other 49 states against the film and movie industry which takes state subsidies for granted, money that goes to producers and stars, not local extras.
- Every Florida classroom has a certified schoolteacher paid at least $50,000/year and a teaching assistant/substitute (or equally paid intern) paid at least $25,000 instead of relying on $11.27/hour substitute teachers with negligible benefits. Furthermore, all PK-12 workers will be full-time, making at least $25,000 if they have a two-year associate's degree, at least $20,000 with only a high school diploma or G.E.D. The State of Florida will cover the difference between County/District pay and these minimums.
